This policy applies alongside our Game License and Service Agreement and any applicable platform terms. For fan content, this policy controls if it conflicts with those documents.
We love seeing people play our games and make things with them. This page explains what you may do with ACE game content without first asking us by email.
“ACE” and “we” mean Hangzhou Chuyu Game Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as ACE Entertainment. “Our Games” include The Dog, Tales of Seikyu, Candy Disaster and other works that we publish.
Videos And Livestreams
You may record, stream and publish videos of our Games on any platform, including YouTube, Twitch, Bilibili and Douyin. Let’s Plays, reviews, guides, speedruns and clips are all welcome, and you do not need our advance permission.
You may earn revenue from your videos and streams, including platform advertising revenue, channel memberships, commercial sponsorships and voluntary viewer donations. You do not need to share that revenue with us or obtain an additional licence.
We may embed, repost or edit your videos and streams to showcase community creations. Where your name, voice, likeness or image appears, you agree that we may use it for that purpose and, where permitted by law, will not assert name or likeness claims against that use. We will give attribution and a link where reasonably practical, and will remove a clip if you ask us to do so.
Please:
• keep attribution for the original creators of material you use;
• make it clear that your channel belongs to you, not ACE; and
• add your own commentary, editing or performance rather than posting an ACE trailer as standalone content.
Please do not:
• put our game content behind a paywall or members-only access, or sublicense your video to a third party;
• sell recorded gameplay, or resell our trailers, cinematics or assets;
• state or imply that a sponsor is affiliated with ACE; or
• publish plot spoilers from a demo, test or press build before an embargo ends. We will tell you the embargo date in advance.
Fan Art, Fan Fiction And Cosplay
Please feel free to create fan art, comics, fan fiction, cosplay, covers and printable materials. You own the original parts of your work. The parts taken from our Games remain ours.
As an individual or small-scale seller, you may accept commissions, sell prints and stickers at events, make small-batch merchandise and accept voluntary donations.
“Small-scale” means selling as a private individual or under a simplified or tax-exempt local scheme, such as a hobby seller in the United States, a micro-entrepreneur in France or a Kleingewerbetreibende in Germany.
In mainland China, this permission applies only to natural persons. Anyone with any form of business registration—including a sole proprietor, individually owned business or company—must obtain our written consent before selling goods based on our Games, regardless of turnover.
Being an individual is not enough: the activity itself must remain small-scale. This means making a limited quantity yourself and selling directly to people who want it. Factory or batch production, wholesale or supply to resellers, stockpiling inventory for scale, hiring or commissioning workshops, and operating a continuing store are outside this permission. Please contact us before starting any such activity.
If we identify a larger commercial activity, we may ask for information that confirms where it falls, such as tax status, business registration or similar materials. Please respond honestly and promptly.
You may not turn fan content into a scaled commercial business, sell direct copies of our art assets or mass-produce retail merchandise. If you are unsure, please ask us first; we would rather consider a conditional permission than send a takedown notice.
Mods
Mods are welcome. A “Mod” is any modification to an ACE Game, including new items, characters, models, textures, quests, localisation text, interface changes and balance adjustments.
You own the original parts of your Mod. Code, assets, characters, names, stories, art and audio that are included in or derived from ACE content remain ours. Do not use another person’s work in a Mod without permission.
Mods must be free. You may not sell, rent, license or place a Mod behind a paywall, and you may not charge for early access. You may accept a commission to create a Mod if the finished Mod is also released to the public for free, and you may accept voluntary donations.
When you publicly release a Mod, you grant ACE an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, display and distribute that Mod for the relevant Game.
Technical Boundaries
Do not damage online features or affect other players’ matches; bypass DRM, licence checks or platform protections; help others run unpurchased copies; unlock paid content, create currency or bypass purchase flows; or include malicious code, hidden telemetry or any feature that collects player data.
Generative AI
You may use generative-AI tools for fan content only if you have the rights and permissions required to do so, do not misrepresent the result as official ACE content, and comply with applicable law and the relevant tool’s terms. Do not train, fine-tune or build a model on ACE content, or use ACE content as a dataset, unless we have expressly permitted it in writing.
Trademarks And Official Status
Do not register, claim or use ACE names, logos or other marks in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or official status. Please make clear that your fan work is unofficial and is not sponsored by ACE.
Removal And Contact
We may ask you to change or remove fan content that violates this policy, infringes rights, causes confusion, harms players or the Games, or is otherwise unlawful. If you receive a request from us, please respond promptly.
